CTRP15, also known as ERFE, is a protein that may be linked to ferroptosis, an iron-dependent form of programmed cell death caused by lipid peroxidation. Some research suggests that ERFE/CTRP15 could play a role in inhibiting ferroptosis, potentially as a mechanism to protect against this form of cell death.
